The basics

Brindo is a free platform for creating group greeting cards. By using it, you agree to use it for what it's for — sending kind messages to people you care about.

Be kind

Don't post:

We can remove any message and ban any user who breaks these rules.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give us a non-exclusive right to display it on the card you signed and email it to the people involved.

Free tier

Free cards include a small footer credit. Unlimited contributors per card. Cards expire 30 days after creation. Pay NZ$7 to remove the footer credit and extend the expiry to 90 days.

Refunds and cancellations

We want you to feel good about paying. Here's how it works.

Pro — NZ$7 one-off

If you haven't created any cards on the Pro tier yet, email hello@brindo.cards within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund you. After 14 days, or once you've created a Pro card, the payment is final — the unlock has been used.

Pro — NZ$12 / month

Cancel any time from /settings or by emailing hello@brindo.cards. You keep Pro features until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then your account drops to Free. We don't pro-rate partial months.

If something genuinely went wrong

Email hello@brindo.cards with what happened — wrong charge, double charge, feature didn't work. We aim to respond within 5 working days and will make it right.

Stripe processing fee

Refunds return the full amount you paid us. Stripe's processing fee on the original charge is non-recoverable for us, but it doesn't affect what you get back.

Nothing here limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

Deleting your data

You can ask us to delete your account and the cards you've created at any time. Email privacy@brindo.cards from the address on your account. We'll confirm and complete the deletion within 20 working days, per the NZ Privacy Act 2020.

What we keep

Deleting just one message you signed

If you signed someone else's card and want only your message removed, use the edit link in the "thanks for signing" email and clear the body, or email privacy@brindo.cards and we'll do it for you. The card creator and recipient may still see your message in their email notifications received before the deletion.

No guarantees

We try hard to keep the service running but can't guarantee zero downtime. Don't store anything on Brindo that you can't afford to lose.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we make a meaningful change, we'll email you. Continued use after the change means you accept the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
