Common questions
When does group gift collection arrive?
Soon — but we want to do it right. Most platforms hold the money themselves and hand it on, which gets messy with NZ AML/CFT rules and creates tax exposure that gets passed back to you. We're building it via Stripe + a licensed gift-card disbursement partner so the money flows straight to the recipient as their choice of gift card or charity donation. ETA: a few weeks. Until then, the rest of Brindo is fully working.
Why is there a 30-day expiry?
After 30 days a free card auto-archives — the messages stay accessible to the recipient and creator forever, but the public link stops working. This stops abandoned cards from cluttering search and helps people focus on the moment. Pro cards extend this to 90 days. If you need permanent links, talk to us.
Can I pay with a different currency?
Yes. Stripe Checkout shows the price in your local currency at the moment of payment. We list NZD because that's where we're based; the actual amount your bank charges is converted at the live rate.
What's the catch on the free tier?
Honestly, none. Free already includes unlimited contributors. The small footer says "Made with Brindo" with a link, and cards expire after 30 days. If those two limits don't pinch, the free tier is the product. Most users never need to upgrade.
Refunds?
Yes — within 30 days, no questions, full refund. Email refunds@brindo.cards. We'd rather have a happy non-customer than a frustrated paying one.
Will this be more expensive in 5 years?
Probably not. Existing customers stay on whatever price they signed up at, forever. We're not aiming to become a private-equity exit story.
